Suburban Sadness

I recently left Boston for school outside of New York City and I'm going through serious withdrawal. Since I am not directly in the city, I have to take a train if I want to go there. Unfortunately, this makes it difficult to fulfill my longing for city life. There are many different things that I have come to miss about Boston and city-living in general and I thought I'd share some for anyone else that is slowly dying in the suburbs…

SHOPPING. This is an obvious one. Shopping in a city is amazing because there are endless options and variety. All the way from high end to thrift stores. There are literally millions of options. Although it made me broke as ever, I still loved it anyways.

Bored? Nothing to do? Need to get away from campus? Walk outside. You WILL find something to do, and that's a guarantee. Theres always something cool going on and theres always amazing places to visit and explore (and lots are freeeeeeee).

Goodbye, Starbucks, and hello to tons of cute non-chain coffee shops! There are so many cute cafes and coffee shops that I'd take over Starbucks any day.

The T. Thats right I said it; I miss the T. It's so cheap and convenient and you didn't have to plan trips out in advanced. I miss being able to go somewhere spontaneously!!

Lastly, the food. Yeah I'm talking about you, Tasty Burger and Insomnia Cookies.

Thankfully, I'll be returning to Boston soon (for a weekend trip that is)…Shannon and sista Olivia I'm comin fo u;)
